E-News from Tom: 6/17/11

Hello E-News Friends,

I hope you come to Oak Bridge this Sunday to celebrate, learn about, and honor the greatest Father ever, our God! We’ll honor our physical fathers also! We have a gift to give to all the dads in attendance. (For me, I am giving it to Kathy so she can use it instead of me.) You’ll understand when you see the gift!

We have a special treat as well. One of my favorite speakers is going to bring us the message this week. Her name is Patty Burks and she is a long-time follower of Jesus and friend to many of us at Oak Bridge. It is a message many of us need to hear and keep in our memory banks for life. Trust me on this!

I will be in Haiti with the OB interns and a few other leaders! It will be exciting to see how God speaks to each of our hearts on this trip. I am looking forward to the stories we come back with! (Hopefully none will involve diarrhea or snakes!)

I am praying that God touches all of you Sunday at OB and does the same to us in a small community in Haiti that is named Bohoc. I will miss you all! Let’s lift up each other in prayer! Our God is amazing!

In His amazing grace! Celebrating the truth of Jesus!

Tom

PS Our offering to the Church in Joplin is over $6500 now! Way to go you OB’ers!

BigStuf Informational Meetings

Parents of students going to BigStuf this summer must attend one of the several informational meetings offered. We have now had two of the three meetings, so if you haven’t attended, please do so on Sunday, June 5 at 9:45am at Keller Theater. The meeting will last approximately 30 minutes. (The first ten minutes will cover new, important information so that parents of students who have already attended don’t have to stay for the standard information.)

KidStuf

Just a reminder that KidStuf is on summer break.
