Hello E-News Friends,
“The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult by many, and left untried by many.”
I read this and saw great truth in it. Christianity is not for the cowardly or selfish. It is not a “crutch” for weak people, but a “cross” for humbled people. I am always amazed at those of you who choose to follow Jesus. It is the greatest choice you can make, but certainly not the easiest. You are my heroes! Over 50 of you this past Sunday made decisions for Christ. Simply amazing!
God created the Church to be a light in a dark world. God created the Church to help each of us, together in community, follow Jesus in this thing we call Christianity. I pray Oak Bridge does that for each of us who claim Jesus as our Lord.
Sunday we will continue to be a light for Jesus, and in community, we will gather together to help one another follow the One whose name we bear. I believe it is essential to our journey with Christ. I hope you believe that as well.
May God’s peace, joy, and wisdom be yours as you follow His Son!
Sunday is Funday (and a lot more)!
In His grace,
Tom
