E-News from Tom: 3/4/11

Hello E-News Friends,

I hope you have taken some time this week to identify some bowls of stew in your life, or potential bowls of stew. I am pretty sure Esau wishes he would have never made his trade. (In baseball terms, it’s kind of like the Cubs trading Lou Brock for Ernie Broglio.) The wisdom that comes from following Jesus and being in community with others, who do the same, is a huge advantage in our lives. That is true whether you’re 15 or 85! It’s never too soon or late to follow Jesus!

This week we look at a guy in the Bible who had everything going right. Then his life fell apart. He forgot one thing that made all the difference. It is one thing we can forget as well. This Sunday we are going to tighten the screws on our hinges so the same doesn’t happen to us. I hope you will be there Sunday (which truly is Funday) with some of your friends and family.

Sing along with me “...Living He loved me. Dying He saved me. Buried He carried my sins far away!” I can’t wait to sing this song Sunday with all of you. Don’t sit close to me because this is one of those songs I love to sing with “full voice” (loudly) to our Father. I hope you do too.

God is worthy of our trust!

In His Grace and Love,

Tom

PS If you didn’t make last week’s service you can listen to the message at www.oakbridgecc.com . We are preparing to debut a whole new web site soon. I saw the prototype this past week. My opinion was “Wow! That is awesome!” You’re going to love it!
