E-News from Tom: 05/14/10

Hello E-News Friends,

I hope your prayer life has been impacted by this series. It is a powerful and effective tool that God gives us as followers of His Son. But like all tools it must be used properly to have the right impact. Remember that prayer is stopped by (sin, sideways, stingy) and started with passion that is (definite, dependent, desperate). You won’t want to miss this week’s message as we learn a saying; “Part of our mess is that we pray for less.” I believe your prayer lives will undergo a radical change after understanding this simple phrase.

I can think of very few things that would honor God more than your attendance Sunday at Oak Bridge as we praise Him in song, service, and message. I am sure you will be blessed if you come. Maybe this week you have a friend whose heart God has prepared for your invite. Take a chance! Tell them you’ll buy them breakfast at Oak Bridge! (It’s is both cost efficient and smart!) Our King loves to hear your prayers (they are a sweet incense to Him)! How about spending some time today reflecting on the above (maybe some action needs to be taken as well) as you talk with the one who loves you most!

Can I ask you to pray for health issues (to be healthy) for three “Cs” I am praying for (Conrad, Connie, and Cheryl). In advance, thanks for your prayers to the one who is worthy to be praised and awesome in name and action.

In His Grace and Love,

Tom

PS The “Thank You Banquet” is Friday May 21! Please sign-up at the Info Center. I hope all you who serve and make Oak Bridge happen can make it. You deserve a night of thanks!

PSS “To Save A Life” movie is showing this Sunday, May 16. You don’t want to miss this evening. The movie has a great message, especially for teens and young adults.
Free pizza at 5:30, movie at 6:00 @ the Oak Bridge Center.
